The school is located east of Poblacion , Tagoloan. It is particularly located approximately 300 meters west of barangay Sta. Ana, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental and generally it is situated in the eastern part of Misamis Oriental. The total land area of the school campus is 16, 660 square meters.
Sta. Ana National High School, formerly Sta. Ana Barangay High School is on its 39th year of continuous service and existence. It has grown great and produced significant and remarkable number of high school graduates. Today, many of them have become professionals of their own chosen career, employed in different position/s in the government and private sector. The school has produced many quality skilled workers working here and abroad.
The student population of the school has a significant increase every year. It is a manifestation of quality education and genuine service to the stakeholders. The administrator, faculty and staff never ceases to inculcate values and employ current techniques in the classroom instruction.
Baranggay Sta. Ana.
Sta. Ana is progressive barangay on the eastern part of the town of Tagoloan. It comprises eight (8) equally progressive sitios namely: Dike/Gawad Kalinga (GK) Village, Bontong, Dal-as, Nasalaban, new Sta. Cruz, Mamala, Sibucaon and Centro Sta. Ana.
Farming the primary source of the Sta. Ana populace. Through the various industrial companies and business investments, people are given opportunity to secure contractual employment to augment the families’ economic status.
Student Profile
SANHS students participated in almost all academic and co-curricular competitions coordinated by the Division Office in different subject areas. The highlights of each subject area participation are presented by teachers – coordinator for the subject through narrative report with their corresponding documentations.
Students are trained intensively especially in their skills and talents as well as their academic abilities. Students who are known to be intellectually competent are trained join any contest, those who belong to the minority group are given the chance to increase their proficiency level through remedial sessions in any subject area.
2. Teacher and Administrator Development
Teachers are given the opportunity to grow professionally by enrolling in masteral studies and attend various trainings, seminars and conferences to keep themselves abreast with latest trend in teaching techniques and paradigms.
SANHS holds INSET every start and closing of each curriculum year. Teachers are also encouraged to attend seminars and trainings sponsored by private entities especially if the purpose is for professional and personal development.
Any teacher who is qualified for a higher position can avail of the opportunity for step increment and salary increase. Professional growth is a factor any teacher or administrator to achieve a higher position.
SANHS has only one (1) administrator, five (5) Teacher III, one (1) Teacher II, ten (10) Teacher I one (1) clerk funded by the Local School Board and two (2) watchmen funded by the Parents Teachers and Community Association (PTCEA). With this composition, SANHS is an academic institution whose students can compete with other schools in the region.
3. Physical Plant Development
SANHS endeavors to improve its physical appearance to make the school an institution conducive for learning and to attract other people from nearby barangays to enroll their students here.
The school buildings will be maintained, the perimeter fences will be concretized and made sturdy, the rooftops will be painted to protect from corrosion and classrooms should be well structured so that students will enjoy their school days and make their learning full of fun and enjoyment.

SANHS will develop the students academically, emotionally, psychologically and socially. Students should be trained to be socially aware of the issues, programs and projects of the community. The community is also a part of the schools development.

Finances are one of the factors that help the school progress physically and academically. When funds will be utilized, the school authorities follow the standard operating procedures in the liquidation of funds. The PTCEA’s voluntary school contribution is one of the primary funds that help the school operate. Therefore, knowledge on the proper flow of fund management is a factor that will cause the academic institution to progress and develop.
